Many Friends Green Steps for Happier Planet!: Ιουνίου 2026

With great success and beautiful memories, our students and teachers have completed the European eTwinning project "Many Friends: Green Steps for a Happier Planet!", which ran from October to May.

The project brought together 15 teachers and 146 students from 6 European countries, all united by a common goal: raising environmental awareness among primary school students and adopting sustainable daily habits.

Through creative, hands-on, and playful activities, students discovered how small daily habits—such as recycling, reusing materials, saving energy, and caring for nature—can contribute to a healthier and more sustainable planet.

Our Activities and Collaborative Products

Working in mixed international teams as true "Heroes of the Planet", the students collaborated on authentic environmental missions using modern digital Web 2.0 tools. Together, they created wonderful collaborative products:

European Green Dictionary: A multilingual eco-dictionary.
Ecological Advent Calendar: A countdown calendar filled with green tips.
Materials Swap Challenge: A fun challenge focused on recycling and reusing.
Mixed Team Missions: Cooperative tasks aimed at protecting nature.

The Outcomes

By using English as their common language, students not only enhanced their environmental consciousness and digital skills, but also developed critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, and intercultural communication. Above all, they learned to respect cultural and linguistic diversity while promoting active citizenship.

The journey concluded with our final product, a "Digital Time Capsule", which beautifully captures the collective progress, achievements, and milestones of the project.

This project proved that small steps can indeed lead to big changes when we all work together for a common goal!
