8th Primary schoolof Kallithea /Georgia Karabali / European Green Dictionary

In November, we created “Our European Green Dictionary”. Each student chose a word or phrase about nature and the environment — for example: tree, recycling, clean water, saving energy. Students wrote their words in the forum. Then, we created a big dictionary with all the words from our partner schools. Together we will learn new words, help the planet and hear many languages from Europe!  Click here, to view our European Green Dictionary!

8th Primary school of Kallithea / Georgia Karabali/Logo creation

As part of the project “Many friends: Green Steps for a Happier Planet”, students participate in the collaborative creation of the logo. Each participating country is invited to add an environmental element to the common logo, so that the final result expresses the collective effort of all schools to protect the environment.

The students of E2 of the 8th Primary school of Kallithea, chose to represent our country with the recycling symbol.

Through this activity, the students:

collaborated with their classmates from other European countries,

learned about endangered species and the threats they face,

developed digital creation and collaborative work skills,

and cultivated their ecological awareness in a creative and experiential way.

Students' initial survey

As part of our eTwinning project "Many friends: Green Steps for a Happier Planet", students completed the initial project questionnaire. This allowed us to better understand their knowledge, opinions and interests on the topic. Their answers will help us plan the next activities based on what they already know and what they would like to discover.

It was a first, important stop on our journey to green!

8th Primary school of Kallithea/Georgia Karabali/ Presentation of the project rules

8th Primary school of Kallithea / Georgia Karabali / The rules of our project

The students also collaborated in the TwinSpace forum, where they discussed and wrote the rules of our project, as well as the rules for safe use of the internet. In this way, they learned how to work responsibly, with respect and safety, laying the foundations for a beautiful and creative collaboration with their partners.

So, with imagination, collaboration and safety, we set sail for a wonderful eTwinning journey into the green!

8th Primary school of Kallithea/Georgia Karabali/ Students' wordcloud

After the students participating in the project had written on the forum what the environment would tell us if it spoke, this word cloud was created.

8th Primary school of Kallithea/Georgia Karabali/Answergarden activity

We started with the students' ideas and imagination. We asked them:  "Imagine that the environment had a voice and could speak to us. What would it say to us?"

So they wrote their ideas in the Answergarden tool, and we are waiting to see together the "word cloud" that will be created.

🌍 Welcome to Our Shared Earth: My First Post

 Hello and welcome! 🎉

I’m excited to begin this journey where ecology, unity, and hope come together in one space.

This blog was created with a simple belief: when people unite, even small actions can help heal the planet. Every choice we make — planting a tree, reducing waste, supporting sustainable products, or simply learning something new — can ripple outward and inspire others.

🌱 Why This Blog Exists

I want this space to be:

  • A source of practical, everyday eco-friendly tips

  • A place to celebrate environmental success stories

  • A reminder that we are all connected — people, animals, forests, oceans

  • A community where anyone can feel encouraged to protect our shared home

🤝 Unity for the Planet

Environmental challenges can feel overwhelming, but no one has to face them alone.
By sharing ideas, supporting one another, and taking action together, we can create meaningful change.

✨ What You Can Expect

In the coming posts, I’ll explore:

  • Simple sustainability habits

  • Eco-innovations around the world

  • Ways communities are uniting for climate action

  • Nature inspiration and mindfulness

  • DIY green projects

  • And much more!

Thank you for being here at the beginning.
Let’s grow, learn, and make a difference — together. 💚
